The shipping company itself was founded in 1945 as Bayraktar Shipping Group.  From the mid 1990's Bayraktar business activity developed and grew substantially, enabling the Group to become a more efficient and modernized company. At present a total of 11 MPP / container and general cargo vessels have been commissioned, to serve our customers with a modern fleet, trading worldwide, with professional and experienced crews and shore staff, focusing on customer satisfaction, through competitive and reliable transportation solutions.

     Bayraktar Ship Management was formed to meet the scrupulous challenges which face today’s ship operators. Our Ship Management Company  brings together shipping experience, technical know-how and a global approach to our personnel, resulting in an organization capable of meeting today’s strict standards in safety and protection of the environment.  Besides full management of our own fleet, Bayraktar is heavily involved in shipbuilding activities in Turkey for both containers and bulk carriers.
